Hey Everyone! Sorry to ask another, I’m sure for the frequent users here, boring wayfinding question.

But if you have the time - keen to understand the reality of this proposed overnight loop my wife and I would be looking at during June

Starting from Honister Slate Mine, or possibly further up in Buttermere, the idea would be hitting a couple destinations on a hike to the Wassdale Head Inn, then in the morning returning back via a different route.

We’re accomplished hikers, and experienced in the Alpine region of Australia - won’t be going ahead unless we know the weather is acceptable, and will be packing for all possibilities; but ultimately it won’t be a heavy pack so think the elevation and Scaffel Pike would be okay.

But keen to know if this is actually not possible? In terms of the route.. it’s hard to find good intel online; so if anyone has resources to link would love that - but in meantime will keep searching this subreddit and online resources.

The route I’m looking at from Honister - Honsiter-Wasdale Head Loop on AllTrails

Or the longer route from Buttermere -

\- which we thought we’d just on how the legs feel from hiking the days prior; and if we have enough hours for the out route.
