I moved into an apartment 2 years ago and only started smelling intermittent exhaust fumes only about 6 months ago. The smell has been getting stronger and usually begins in the afternoon and comes and goes through the night.
The building was constructed about 5 yrs ago and each apt has their own electric HVAC. I have shut off the HVAC, bought an air purifier, and even covered the vents with a filter but an exhaust smell still seeps into my apt forcing me to now wear a mask while watching TV.
Unfortunately I don’t know much about HVAC systems but my nothing seems to detect it and my landlord seems to be at a loss while my health is getting worse, so can anyone please help with any insight or possible solves?
