Need honest advice on a trading partnership situation.
A friend and I used to trade together. Some of the money involved was borrowed from other people through him. The trades went wrong and everything was lost. Even though we both traded together, I ended up repaying the borrowed people mostly from my own pocket over the next 2 years and with high intrest . I lost a lot financially and mentally during that period.
One part of the money was around 10k from this partner himself, and that was also used in trading while he was present and aware of the risk. There was never any formal agreement guaranteeing repayment with interest.
Now after all this time, he suddenly asked me for 15k–20k saying his friend urgently needs money. It made me uncomfortable because I already suffered heavily from the entire situation and he never really shared the burden equally.
My question is:
Do I actually owe him that old 10k fully, considering it was trading loss shared by both of us? And if he asks for interest too, would that even be reasonable?
