Need to create something that fires projectiles - what's the easiest way to do this for prototyping?

I want to have a flying object on a loop using sequencer, I am going to parent a volume to the object in front that detects for players. If the volume overlaps the player, I want to spawn a projectile from the flying object facing the current forward orientation. It basically would be the equivalent of strapping an existing Fortnite weapon onto this flying object and telling it to 'fire' at a particular point.

Is there an existing Creative device that I can attach that will fire a projectile?

Star Wars: Phantom Menace remake using Fortnite tools

My name's Ray, I was one of the original designers for the Star Wars: The Phantom Menace video game for PS1/PC. A little over a month ago, the Fortnite team announced a collaboration with Disney to allow content creators to build Star Wars-themed levels. I decided to attempt a remake of SW:TPM's first level, the Trade Federation Battleship, and I'm pretty happy with the results! I had to substitute some elements that aren't available (yet), ex: I had to use Clone Troopers since there aren't any Battle Droid models. You can see some footage here: https://www.fortnite.com/@zanzibar/2541-9517-4104

So far there hasn't been a lot of traction - it released on May 1 with every other Star Wars 'island', so I can't tell if people just aren't all that interested or else if it's just too hard to find it with all the other roguelike/RvB clones taking up all the Discover slots. If you play it and like it, I'd appreciate it if you spread the word! I'd love to create more levels from the game. I've been working on Mos Espa over the last week or so and making some fun progress!

I understand entirely that Fortnite isn't a popular topic, particularly when it comes to Star Wars games - negative reactions to it inherently limits the audience for such an effort. However, in terms of being able to quickly stand up a prototype and gauge interest, it lets a solo developer like me cover a lot of ground by using some of the off-the-shelf mechanics and tools.
