Accepted a teaching job offer… then got offered another one the next day 😭
I verbally accepted a job offer yesterday at a new school after a really positive interview. They offered me the role within 2 hours of the interview and sent the official offer letter the next morning, which made me feel really wanted and valued.
Better location for me long term, higher pay area and they seemed very organised/supportive.
But now, a day later, the school I’ve been supplying at since September has suddenly offered me a role too.
Current school pros:
familiar staff/kids
lovely TA
know the systems/planning already
Cons:
constant observations/mock Ofsteds
leadership changes
felt a bit strung along since February
New school pros:
fresh start
seemed genuinely keen
already had Ofsted in 2022
But I’m panicking about leaving familiarity and wondering if I’m making the wrong decision 😅Also it would be burning bridges.
What would you do?

Spoken to executive head today who tried to persuade me to stay who also said they will give me m6 but that I should be performing at that and being ready to showcase my expertise etc. She made me feel like they would be on my case all year round.
