Over speed challan???

I have a question *to every experienced person who drives in and around chandigarh* , today me and my friends were going to siswan , and just before that there was a long road which appeared as a highway. So me and the guy (who's car it was) were backseat and his friend was driving the car and one more guy was in the front.

We all are 19-20 aged college students (I'm a girl and rest 3 were boys) and our parents knew about this outing.

So on that road we were on 84 speed and the police guy stopped us and was giving us certain threats like if we carried liquor and all but ofcourse it was nothing just bags with books and pile of projects.

He checked both the guy's licences too.

So anyhow he charged us 1000rs which we arranged with great difficulty .

So what and how to usually response in such situation, it was our first time and honestly everyone was scared to the most.

Adults over here who are experienced, can you pls tell what to do in situation like this or maybe if there are just 2 ppl let's say me and a guy and then police stops us, so what to do in these situations? What rights do police have on us??

I recently travelled in a sleeper bus(6hrs) both ways from Chandigarh to Rajasthan and it has been such a good experience. It was an overnight travel.

It was my first time in it and it was really good!!

I personally feel that the double seats were better than the single ones. So I guess it's better to share(which I did and has been best).

Like I don't think so there's any such service like a sleeper bus (for 2 ppl) in India, like it was so good!!
