Been using AI tools to speed up my freelance work for a while. Here are 5 prompts I use constantly — copy and paste them into ChatGPT or Claude, just fill in the [brackets]:
**1. Cold outreach email that actually gets replies:**
"Write a short, friendly cold email to [Client Name]. I am a freelance [your skill] and I noticed [specific thing about their business]. I want to offer [specific value]. Keep it under 100 words, no fluff."
**2. Follow up without being annoying:**
"Write a polite, non-pushy follow-up email for someone who did not reply to my first outreach 5 days ago. Reference the original message briefly. Make it warm and give them an easy out."
**3. Handle scope creep professionally:**
"My client is asking for [extra work] outside our original agreement. Write a professional email addressing this, reminding them of the original scope, and presenting options: pay extra or push the deadline."
**4. Ask for a testimonial naturally:**
"Write a short, casual message asking a happy client for a 2–3 sentence testimonial. Make it feel personal, not copy-paste."
**5. Daily task prioritization:**
"I have these tasks today: [list your tasks]. Help me prioritize them using the Eisenhower Matrix. Tell me: what to do first, what to schedule, what to delegate, and what to drop."
