Ok so I’m going to be attending uc Merced next year as a freshman in CSE but o went to bobcat day which is thier tour thing and I met all the teachers and they said there will be a more specific stand alone CS major and I want to become a software engineer but idk if I should stay in CSE to be a more well rounded student and or employee and maybe just have it as a back up to go into other like engineering jobs and I need an option of whether or not to stay in CSE or switch to CS
