My carmax experience good and bad

So I’ve found and bought a 2022 ram 1500 delivered from Michigan to Massachusetts for 650$. The car arrived exactly at the last day it was expected to arrive which was 3 weeks. The truck was 3-6k less than anywhere in my area so i figured I’d eat the 650 no problem. Upon viewing of the truck it was dirty as if someone drove on some muddy roads at some point. They didn’t even wash the car before showing. Upon inspection of the vehicle i noticed a paint chip and curb rash on the rim that was touched up poorly with touch up paint. I pointed this out to the sales team as this was not listed on the imperfections. These things could have made me think twice about paying 650 to deliver the car so they nicely just said they would refund me the shipping cost. Great! I wasn’t expecting that. I just wanted it touched up better which they said they would do for me. Decided to proceed with the purchase using my own bank for financing as the rate with my bank was a bit better. Upon picking up my new truck it was not detailed. It looked like it was just a quick wash and wiped down. You could see streaks and bits of dirt but most importantly the chip was not repaired as promised multiple times and confirmed multiple times that it was done. The team there decided that they would allow me to get a detail on my own instead of waiting another hour for them to do it since i have already been waiting. The manager allowed me to go all out on a car detail which was awesome because we all know how expensive that could get for a proper detail especially for a truck. Now as i drove off the lot a check engine light came on and i called them right away and scheduled to have the car brought back in next day. Brought the car in and was told that the cel was just a stored light and that they was able to clear the light. Cool. Drove home and a day or 2 later the light came back on. Called again and was told no availability till the following week. In the mean time my concern was that ma allows 7 days to get an inspection sticker and that the scheduled service was after the 7 days. They told me to get a failed sticker and there would be no charge for reinspection after. No problem. Then the light turned off and i was luckily able to squeeze in an inspection. After inspection light came back on. Brought to the dealer at the scheduled date but i ended up coming late thinking my time was later which is my fault and they could not take me. I asked if i could bring the car to my local ram dealership and they accepted. So brought to the dealer and when they did the diagnostic they informed me that the egr sensor was missing. CarMax agreed to take care of everything. Now here comes the bit strange part and what’s got me questioning the vehicle. I brought the car to the detailer and they told me this car has been repainted which i had also presumed due to orange peel look. Add that to a missing egr sensor. Their CarMax car history reported no accidents but had listed replaced windshield and battery tires and some other things i can’t remember right now. The truck only has 32k miles. So I’m now with a truck that has had a weird history but the team that I’ve worked with did what seems like everything they could possibly do for me. I believe the team i worked with is great but their cars or at least mine not so much.
