I see a lot of people spiraling in here and I wanted to mention some things that might help balance the positives with the negatives:
We’re still in a transitional phase. We weren’t even supposed to make the playoffs this year. Yes, now that we are in the playoffs our weaknesses are glaring. But that’s a good thing when you have a young team that needs that awareness in order to improve.
Splitter is an interim coach
There’s a very small likelihood he’ll be our head coach moving forward. He did a solid job given the circumstances but we all know he’s just ushering us through this transition. I’m grateful for him.
- The future is still bright
Scoot looks better than ever. Dame is coming back. Clingan is proving to be a consistent big. We have an all star not named dame for the first time since LA. We’re vying for Giannis. And we have a new owner (who may cheap but imo he’s still an improvement over Jodie). It’s a lot of change but I think overall it’s change for the better.
Overall as a lifelong blazer fan I’m ok with this season. It was better than expected and it’s trending in the right direction. I’m excited for the future and I’m hopeful. For me, that’s what matters.
