So as the question states, how do you follow recipes when trying to cook while totally blind? Do you use regular braille paper? If so, how do you read the braille when hands get dirty? I currently cannot afford the plastic braille paper and I don't have an assistant device like amazon alexa. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

So, for those in the U.S. as the title suggests, what jobs do you do as a totally blind person that are accessible and ideally pay well? Is anyone into the trades, and if so what do you do? I'd like other resources than vocational rehab who has not supported us well, so that avenue has been exhausted. Also, are there resources to obtain benefits counseling before getting into the workforce? Thanks.
