This is actually crazy because I’m 33 and embarrassed to be making this post.

I’m 10 months postpartum.

In pregnancy like most women, my muscle mass depleted a lot, my glutes became non existent, my posture went dire etc. I started to lift weights about 5 months ago. I don’t eat junk that much but I have struggled for years to get my diet right.

Then 2 months into lifting ,(5 days a week) I honestly couldn’t carry on with eating habits, they genuinely felt lacking. I didn’t want to calorie count because I have zero desire to do that for the rest of my life and so I had to come up with something that worked.

and chat, it was the food pyramid 😭

I basically started to stuff my plate with foods based on the percebtage they take on the food pyramid. This meant I was eating ALOT but it was lower calorie and nutrient dense and I was not feeling restricted.

An example of a plate is 6 cube pieces of chicken satay, half a cup (cooked) rice, loads of green beans , cucumber, tomatoes, avocado and one boiled egg.

Anyway the weight is just flying off which is great but better is it feels painless because I’m really enjoying my meals and this is how I should have been eating all along. I went from 1 cup of cooked rice, a full chicken breast and some veg drizzled in to lots of veggies and minimum fine carbs.

I love it here, thought I would share.
