Apocalyptic stories are absolutely terrifying for people like us

I was reading Stephen King's The Stand and since the moment the collapse of civilization started happenning all I could think of is how screwed I would be if after the apocalypse happened something happened to my glasses and I had to make it through the world without my glasses

I know it's technically an impairment, but I just wanted to say that only us glasses wearers can truly experience this joy of waking up in the morning not being able to make out anything in detail and then by reaching out and putting on our glasses everything becoming clear and right

Sometimes I find myself feeling frustrated for needing these things to do anyrhing but on the other hand when I put on my glasses in the morning I feel happy I have them to see..
