A few days ago, I had an appointment with my doctor to discuss my recent test results. MRI, endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound, have all "never looked better." My calprotectin is down from 3000 a couple months ago to 9. I'm on weekly infliximab injections since I couldn't even function on fortnightly ones. I have headaches, brain fog, lethargy, nausea, pain in both the lower left and right side of my abdomen and occasional joint pain.
From a test standpoint, my crohn's is essentially negligible, and my injections are working, but I know you can have low inflammatory markers and still present symptoms. My doctor doesn't think surgery is a good idea because I have no inflammation or scarring, and is concerned it's likely something else such as IBS. He also recommended a fibre supplement and linseeds, but no improvement so far.
Could this be IBS causing all these symptoms, or could it mean I need to switch medications?
