I made a typing challenge platform for developers - looking for honest feedback

Hey everyone,

I built a small side project 👉 https://www.keysprint.in/ to explore something I’ve always felt was missing.

Most typing tools focus on generic paragraphs, but as developers, we spend most of our time typing code - symbols, patterns, indentation, etc. I wanted to see if a more dev-focused typing experience would actually be useful.

So I made Keysprint, with a few things I personally wanted:

  • 💻 Code snippet typing mode (instead of just plain text)
  • 🌍 Daily challenge where everyone gets the same test
  • 🎯 Custom challenges you can create and share with friends/teams
  • 📊 Detailed analytics (like longest hesitation between keystrokes, not just WPM)
  • 🏆 Leaderboards (daily / weekly / all-time)

The goal wasn’t just speed, but actually identifying where you slow down while typing.

Would really appreciate honest feedback from this community:

  • Does typing code snippets feel useful or unnecessary?
  • Anything confusing or annoying in the experience?
  • Is this something you’d actually use, or just try once and forget?

No fluff - feel free to be blunt. Trying to figure out if this is worth pushing further or not.

Thanks 🙌
