its been months now and i’ve been struggling with my sleep. no matter how tired i am, how early i wake up, or how exhausting my day is, i just cannot fall asleep once i get into bed.

i’ve always had some trouble sleeping, but never this bad. during march and april (ramadan), i would only end up falling asleep around 8am or even later. now it’s gotten slightly better but still really bad, around 4am.

i’ve tried a lot of things like warm showers before bed, melatonin (which only worked for the first week), counting sheep, no phone in bed, and nothing really works. yesterday i even tried counting backwards from 1000 and eventually gave up. i’ll be in bed yawning and feeling exhausted, but the moment i actually try to sleep, it just disappears.

because of this, i’ve been having a really hard time waking up in the morning. some days i even wake up with bad headaches. even when i sleep at 4am, i still end up waking around 7am, then drifting in and out of sleep until i finally force myself out of bed around 11am and i still feel really tired, brain fog and bad headaches (that sometimes last through the day) until like 3pm. then im just really energized until 4am. to break the cycle, i have tried waking up early and no napping between the day to get early to bed, even then it doesnt help me fall asleep.

i’m honestly not sure what to do anymore.
