First time mom working from home FAILED 😞
Hello!
So I’m a first time mom and my LO is 4 months old. I returned back to work a few weeks ago. I was told I had to do some cross training for the first half of my day and then I hop on the phones after, so I’ve been doing that while my LO is home and it has been intense. I work 11hr days and it’s a pretty phone heavy job. My baby has been having colic issues and started teething so she cries a lot throughout the days. I do my best to comfort her, I hold her and what not. While I’m training in the morning I am on camera unfortunately and I believe one of the trainers saw my LO or a complaint was made by a customer might’ve heard my daughter crying because I was randomly notified of a surprise room scan from my manager. I had to scrambled everything up and run her over to my MIL house were my niece who doesn’t like kids watched my baby for like 30mins. While I did the scan they did some heavy questioning on all the baby stuff I had and I was just like well, I mean I did just come back from maternity leave so yeah, I have a baby lol the manager then reminded me of company policy where we cannot be caring for a dependent while working. I told her I understood. They next day comes, I clock in and I see in my calendar I have another room scan scheduled for the following week. They had said they only do them 2 times a year but now I’m like why is this happening so often. So I’m assuming that they are trying to catch me with my baby. I can’t afford childcare unfortunately. I don’t have family members who can help watch her consistently. I feel like I’m stuck in a pickle here. My husband says just to leave since they’re going to probably start picking on me, but we could really use the extra income. My mom tells me to just leave too because it’s not worth stressing about. It’s been rough, I was really hoping it would work out. I even bought noise cancelling headphones. I guess I’m just ranting about this… not sure…. Just feel kind of stuck
