How can I temporarily cover this huge mirrored wall in a rental without damaging it?

My partner and I are about to rent this unit, but the giant mirrored wall in the living room is driving me crazy already 😅

It’s the main wall where we’d normally put the TV, which means the couch would face directly toward the mirrors. I honestly find it really nerve-racking watching TV while constantly seeing myself reflected back the whole time.

Since it’s a rental, I can’t do anything permanent. I’ve heard about removable peel-and-stick wallpaper/contact film, but I’m worried it might leave marks, damage the mirror, or be a nightmare to remove later.

Has anyone dealt with something similar before?

Does removable wallpaper actually come off cleanly from mirrors?

Any better renter-friendly ideas to cover a mirrored wall temporarily?

Open to any suggestions 🙏

Started a new role at a residential construction and I’m trying to figure out if I’m the problem here or if this is just normal office culture 😅

My team is small (6 people), and I sit between two coworkers who are best friends, both pregnant, and both have toddlers around the same age. They chat pretty much all day about kids, kindy, pregnancy, etc. There’s also another guy in the team who’s quite talkative. Overall, the office vibe is very social.

The thing is… I’m new, still learning, and I’m finding it really hard to concentrate with constant conversations happening around me. In my previous office, it was almost the opposite — super quiet, very focused — which worked really well for me.

I don’t want to come across as rude or antisocial, and I get that people chatting is normal. But right now it’s impacting my ability to focus and actually do my job properly.

I’m thinking about asking my manager if I can move desks at some point, but he’s friendly with them and I don’t want to make things awkward, especially as the new person.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you handle it without sounding like a jerk?

(Also yes… I know they’ll both be going on mat leave soon, but I still need to survive until then 🥲)
