SOLVED! my apologies, I was way off the mark with the lyrics, it was Fall at your feet by crowded house

I cant help much here, the only part of the lyric im somewhat sure about is the "don't let your" part.

I think It was on the radio alot in the 2000s. Acoustic, slower paced and somewhat somber if memory serves me right
