What I’ve Learned From Working With Small Businesses in Israel

I work with Russian-speaking small business owners in Israel, and I keep noticing the same pattern:

Many of them are very good at what they do. They have years of experience, loyal clients, and strong word-of-mouth recommendations.

But online, they are almost invisible.

No clear website, no structured service page, no reviews in one place, and no proper Google visibility.

So the problem is often not the quality of the service.
The problem is that people cannot easily find, understand, or trust the business online.

From what I see, small businesses grow faster when they have:

  1. A clear explanation of what they do
  2. A simple online page with services, contacts, reviews, photos, and WhatsApp
  3. Search visibility on Google
  4. Real trust signals, not just “professional service” wording
  5. A clear path for a potential client to contact them

I’m curious: for small businesses in your country, what brings more clients today — word of mouth, social media, or Google?
