Hi everyone,

MK8 GTI owner here (manual, still under warranty). I like the stock sound but want louder with more pops, without voiding the warranty, so a tune/downpipe is off the table.

That leaves me looking at a catback exhaust (± resonator delete). I've watched tons of videos and read through most MK8 exhaust threads, but opinions are split, some say a catback on stock DP/no tune barely makes a difference, others say it's a major improvement.

For those who've done a catback without a tune or DP: is there a meaningfull difference in volume, quality, and pops? Currently considering the Clubsport, Milltek, or AWE. Drone is not a huge concern, I'm open to all recommendations.
