Newly engaged 💍 Destination wedding in Cabo (all-inclusive)… is $30k realistic??

Hi everyone! Newly engaged here and starting to plan our wedding 🤍

We’re really leaning toward a destination wedding in Mexico at an all-inclusive resort, preferably Cabo, but I’m open to other areas if it makes more sense budget-wise.

Here’s where I’m struggling… my fiancé wants to cap the budget at $30k, but from everything I’ve been seeing, that feels really tight for the kind of wedding I’m envisioning. I want it to feel beautiful and elevated, not over-the-top luxury, but definitely not “cheap” either.

In my head, $50k feels like a more realistic middle ground, but I’m not sure if I’m being reasonable or just influenced by social media 😅

For context, we’re thinking around 50–60 guests, and I’d love to have

• A welcome party

• A nice ceremony + reception

• Good food and drinks and overall experience for guests

• Ideally everything hosted at the same all-inclusive resort

I’d love to hear from anyone who has

• Done a destination wedding at an all-inclusive in Cabo or elsewhere in Mexico

• Stayed around $30k, is it actually doable? What did you sacrifice?

• Spent closer to $50k, did you feel it was worth it?

• Any regrets or things you would’ve done differently?

Also open to

• All-inclusive resort recommendations

• Tips on where to splurge vs save

• Anything you wish you knew before booking

I’m trying to balance being realistic financially while still having a wedding I truly love. Any advice would mean so much 🥹

Thank you!!
