My cozy corner, aka my mini sanctuary. I plan to get a new window shelf. Eventually. But for now, the set up is good enough for me. I love to sit here and admire it all sometimes. My cats love to hang out right here too, but they’re not so good to hang out with when you’re trying to relax and they’re feeling mischievous 🙄 I can’t wait to have a bigger space 😊 there’s so much more I wanna do, but I am limited to this apartment and bank account lmao 🤣

Also idk if any of you remember me from a post that said I have spider mites in all of my plants. I was going through it and discovered soil mites are a thing. I did have spider mites, but the soil mites are what made me panic haha. I also discovered, even though they’re beneficial, I also hate them. That would explain the chair with the diatomaceous earth sprinkled around. I just made those jumping spider terrariums that were previously infested with soil mites, and to prevent any from my plants crawling and spreading back into them, this was the solution haha. The plants in the terrariums just need to become adjusted before I add the spoods. I would be fine with the soil mites if they didn’t spread and crawl on EVERYTHING so rapidly. I swear they just show up out of no where, and their population booms are so overwhelming and sudden. If they would just stay in the dang terrariums like the springtails then I wouldn’t be doing all this extra stuff smh. Anyway, I learned the difference between both of them, and everything turned out okay after losing a few plants and almost losing others. It gave me a great excuse to organize and restart everything to improve a few little things here and there. I repotted most everything and upgraded to planting in clear plastic pots to monitor roots easier. A lot of my plants have heavily improved after this, and I am quite proud. I finally got some awesome plant lights, and goodness the difference is night and dayyyyy. I’ve learned so much from dealing with pests for the first time. I’m still experimenting methods, but so far, everything is going smoothly. I’m trying to figure out how to increase plant growth speed, but I’m nervous to switch nutrients. I’ve finally moved my fish tanks out into the plant space, and I’m going to try watering with fish water for a while and see how that does :)

Also if anyone has any advice on how to remove soil mites from isopod and reptile enclosures, PLEAAAASSEEEEE don’t keep it a secret, I’m tired of them 😭🙏

He did not make it to bed 😂 he loves taking naps under his heat lamp, but is usually pretty good at getting to bed in time. sometimes it just feels too good 🥹🫶 to me, this is equivalent to falling asleep in a warm bath before bed haha. I’m such a night owl too, I be up way too late passed his bedtime with all the other lights on in the house, and he just be snoozin 😂 I think he is getting used to my shit by now, even with my random opera concerts to my cats

This is a 3 year difference. I was going through my worst depression around this time, and was struggling with body dysmorphia, generalized anxiety, and a panic disorder while smoking 🍃 constantly to cope. I think my major glow up was internal. My confidence has been unrecognizable for myself lately. My eyes used to always look so distant and sad to me, and taking pictures always felt so awkward and frustrating. Now, I feel sure of myself. I think it shows. And I know I have makeup on in the last 4 pics, but I think there’s definitely a difference in composure. I also gained 30 pounds that went directly to my 🍑 after weighing 104 lbs, so this is your sign to break up with him lmao
