When does this become menacing or disorderly conduct??
TLDR: my neighbor won’t leave us alone and it’s escalating.
We are 25, 24, 5, 3, 1, they are 48, 17. My neighbor hasn’t been fond of us for the past year and a half, when we have lived here for 3 1/2 years. She started calling the cops on us for nothing and recording us through her back door window, she we got security cameras so we have a way to protect ourselves if she tried to lie again. We’ve asked for no contact, she’s yelled at us when we did not engage, messaged family members, yelled profanity at family members and children who don’t use it through her camera, made gestures to our cameras, blocked our guests in the driveway, called the police for someone parked in the driveway right after blairing on her horn for 5 minutes (it was early intervention for our baby), pounded during quiet hours (it was the day before and two days before I had a baby) and is now sending her daughter to mess with our cameras and continuously taking pictures of our camers, but our cameras are in our windows. We live upstairs and our windows are only 6”off the floor so if someone is near them you can see everything. Our camera 1 points at the front of the driveway, the sidewalk, the mailbox (which is on the front of the house), camera 2 points at the side of the driveway, camera 3 points (which is on our only door) at our yard, the end of the driveway where we park, and our garage. She recently has come to think we’re obsessed with her daughter which apparently is why she’s taking pictures of our windows, but I don’t think it makes sense. In the past three weeks we’ve made three separate police reports about it, and the most recent on Saturday she circled the house and took pictures of our windows 5 times in 2 hours. Yesterday morning the daughter was walking and stopped looked at camera 1, opened an umbrella pointed at the camera but it has “fuck off” written on it, flicked it off, then closed the umbrella because it wasn’t raining. This morning she just had the same umbrella open but made sure to turn it to our cameras. When does this become enough? When can we actually do something about it??? I tried to ask about an order of protection yesterday and the lady didn’t think it would stick because she hasn’t physically threatened me.
