Mambo vipi everyone!

I’m a 22-year-old mzungu from UK who moved to Dar es Salaam about a month ago with my family (my parents are working here as expats). Now that I’m settling in, I’d really love to get out more, explore the city, and meet people around my age.

I’m not super into the heavy nightclub scene, so I’m more interested in relaxed spots and good conversations. I’d especially love recommendations for:

• Art spaces & galleries (Nafasi Art Space is already on my list 👀)

• Cozy cafés with good coffee or chill vibes

• Cultural events, live acoustic music, poetry nights, etc.

• Afternoon beach spots or places to just hang out

I’m also trying to learn some Swahili, though I’m still very much a beginner 😅
