mannnnn, this is the SECOND time i’m disappointed. In my personal, & potentially hot take opinion, the single version of Obsession still clears both newer versions. I just don’t think Obsession should be “heavy”, it’s supposed to be kinda Defotones like & well… “obsessive” like. *cough* *cough* as it was!
what also disappoints me is that Obsession (BODIES version) is their most listened too song on Spotify. Y’all are missing gold people, LISTEN TO THE SINGLE VERSION!
I will say, the voicemail being louder is definitely a nicer touch. But man, to me it really added to it in the og in the first place; & the riff in the background was perfect as it was. The voicemail carried the “climax” & the riff amplified it, it truly felt like an “obsession”
