Heading into our 32nd year together, I was reflecting on how the husband and I potter along and occasionally have a gentleman caller for a bit of variety.

One thing we have noticed over the years is that if a planned visitor does not make it, for whatever reason, we almost always end up having a really nice time together instead.

Tomorrow’s cancellation, apparently hay fever turning into breathing issues, so probably for the best, falls into that category.

So we will likely just go out for dinner or have a quiet evening in.

After all these years, he’s still good company. The playroom packs away easily enough, but companionship is constant.
