Why is the food in small towns always better?
I’ve been traveling around Spain for a bit, and while the food in the big cities is great, nothing compares to the random bars I find in tiny villages. I had a menu del día yesterday in a town I can’t even pronounce, and it was honestly the best meal I’ve had in years. It feels like the smaller the place, the better the food.
Do you guys think the authentic stuff is disappearing from the touristy areas, or am I just getting lucky? Also, if you had to pick one specific village for the best local dish, where are you sending me?
