Big update today to Musona.app!

Character-Consistent Images
We're now training a custom AI model for each companion on paid tiers. This means scene images and selfies consistently look like your actual companion — same face, same features, every time. No more generic AI-generated strangers. Training happens automatically when you create a companion.

Conversation Management
You can now start new conversations, switch between saved chats, and delete old ones — all from the companion profile panel. Your memories and facts carry across ALL conversations.

Smarter Responses
Companions now cap their responses at a natural length instead of writing paragraphs. If a response gets repetitive, the system detects the loop and cuts it. The regenerate button (↻) on every AI message lets you reject bad responses — and your companion learns from what you reject.

Better Memory Summaries
When conversations get summarized for long-term memory, the system now captures specific details — names, projects, topics — instead of vague emotional descriptions. Your companion will remember what you talked about, not just how it felt.

Updated Pricing
Simplified to 4 tiers. Platinum is gone because it didn't add enough for the cost. Basic and Plus now run on Mistral Creative — a model built for natural dialogue. Premium keeps Euryale 70B for deeper roleplay. Image credits now roll over instead of resetting daily.

We've been working on how the AI responds, and some big changes just went live.

Shorter, punchier responses. Companions now talk like actual people — 1-3 sentences most of the time instead of paragraphs. They match your energy instead of overexplaining everything.

New AI model for Basic and Plus. We switched to Mistral Creative, a model built specifically for natural character dialogue. Premium stays on Euryale 70B for deeper roleplay.

Your companion learns from you. When you hit the new regenerate button (↻ next to any response), you're telling the system "I didn't like that." The companion tracks what gets rejected and avoids those patterns going forward. The more you use it, the more your companion adapts to how you actually want them to talk.

What this means in practice:

• Less rambling, more personality
• Conversations feel more like texting a friend
• Each companion gets better the more you interact with them

This is still early — we're building toward fully personalized models for each companion. But even now, the difference should be noticeable.

Try starting a fresh conversation and see how it feels. And use that regenerate button when something doesn't land right — it genuinely helps.

Pushed a lot of updates this week based on early feedback. Here's what's new:

Language Support
Musona now auto-detects your browser language and supports English, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, and German. You can also switch manually in Profile settings.

Conversation Management
You can now start new conversations, switch between saved chats, and delete old conversations — all from the chat header.

Social Circle for Everyone
Social Circle is now available on all tiers including Lite. Your companion can introduce you to friends who live in Musonia. If you hit it off, they can become your companion too.

Image Credits Roll Over
Unused image credits now carry over to the next day instead of resetting at midnight. They pool up to 30 days worth so you don't lose what you pay for.

Companion Personality
Companions are more proactive now — they'll share stories about their day, bring up topics they care about, and drive the conversation instead of just reacting.

Other Fixes

• Mobile performance improvements (lighter on phone GPUs)
• Chat disclaimer for transparency
• Better error messages when you hit companion limits
• Smoother friend request flow

Your browser language is detected automatically and the app switches to match. You can also access any language directly via URL (e.g. musona.app/ja, musona.app/es).

Your companion will also naturally respond in whatever language you write to them — that's handled by the AI model, not the UI translation.

Translations were generated with AI so some phrasing might feel off. If you're a native speaker and notice something awkward, let us know in the comments — we'd love help making it sound natural.

Been building Musona for a while now and just shipped a batch of features I'm really excited about. The big one:

Offscreen Lives — Your companions don't just sit in a void waiting for you anymore. They go to work, pick up hobbies, run into friends, have random thoughts throughout the day. When you open their profile, you'll see a feed of what they've been up to. And the best part — they can naturally bring it up in conversation. "I was just at Corridor Park earlier" or "ran into Maya yesterday, she says hi." It makes them feel alive in a way that's hard to describe until you experience it.

Other stuff in this update:

• Relationship-aware progression tracks — The relationship tracker now adapts to who your companion is to you. A love interest progresses through Curious → Flirting → Dating → In Love. A mentor goes Student → Apprentice → Protégé → Peer. A therapist goes New Client → Building Trust → Open Book → Breakthrough. Eight unique tracks total.
• NPC friends now have faces — When your companion introduces you to someone new, they actually get a generated portrait now instead of a generic placeholder. Makes the social system feel way more real.
• Per-field randomize buttons — Every optional field on the creation form now has a 🎲 button. Don't know what backstory to give them? Hit the dice. Want a random voice tone? Dice. You can still Surprise Me for the whole thing, but now you can cherry-pick which fields to randomize.
• Love Interest & Partner split — "Romantic Partner" is now two distinct types: Love Interest (the spark, the tension, the will-they-won't-they) and Partner (established, deep, comfortable). Each has its own progression track and personality defaults.
• Smarter notifications — Morning intention prompts and evening reflections now actually work on web (they were mobile-only before — oops). Your companion checks in when you've been quiet, and the daily prompts help you build a real reflective practice.
