FMC can kill either intentionally or unintentionally. And MMC helps her hide the body, hides her in his house, helps her run away or whatever.

I'd like if FMC is caught by the police or someone (anytime in the book) and where MMC will do absolutely anything to keep her out of jail and safe. Maybe he kills/kidnaps whoever witnessed the thing or fights tooth and nail to prove her innocence.

Now, MMC can confess that it was his doing and he's guilty but I don't want any of them to go to jail or receive any major punishment. So, absolutely no books where MMC ends up in jail for FMC's crime.

I want this to be the central (prefered) or at least second main focused theme of the book. Maybe, they can already be in relationship or be acquaintance or something.

Bonus,

1. FMC kills the person and panics/doesn't do anything to cover the crime. MMC shows up, cleans all the blood, hides the body, removes the murder weapon, clears the murder site etc.
2. MMC is criminal lawyer and fights her case knowing she's the killer.
3. MMC is a detective and helps her get away with it.
4. Both are on run after the crime was discovered.

What I don't want,

1. Bully, HR, OV, RH, Too much mdom, Single Parent, Child
2. Toxic dynamics: manipulative or unnecessarily cruel/bad MMC
3. Over-controlling and over-possessive MMC
4. Stockholm Syndrome or doormat FMC
5. Age-gaps more than 10 yrs

Most of the times, it's like that FMC loves the MMC so much that she can endure any situation for him, but let's face it, not everyone's brave or in love enough to be okay with being in danger/unpredictable situation every second.

Now, MMC has a dangerous/unpredictable life (mafia, actor, spy, cop, athlete, etc), and:

1. She knew, but after experiencing it (attack, kidnapping, public humiliation, etc), she realizes she can’t live like this and leaves/asks for a break, or,
2. She didn’t know, but finds out somehow or gets hurt and decides she doesn’t want that life.

Eg 1: They are together but he needs to pretend that she doesn't mean anything to him in public and has to act lovey-dovey with OW. She realizes she can't compromise anymore and leaves him.

Eg 2: MMC is a soldier/agent/sportsman and has to go on weeks long trips and FMC realizes she can't handle it and doesn't want a partner like that.

Eg 3: MMC is in mafia and FMC doesn't want to live in constant danger.

Bonus,

1. He respects her decision instead of forcing her to stay
2. Grovel or win-her-back arc
3. He's in mafia, she gets kidnapped and realizes the situation
4. He leaves his job

What I don't want,

1. Bully, Historical, OV, RH, Too much mdom, Single Parent
2. Pregnancy (negotiable if the book's too good/similar to ignore)
3. Toxic dynamics: manipulative or unnecessarily cruel/bad MMC
4. Over-controlling and over-possessive MMC
5. Stockholm Syndrome or doormat FMC
6. Age-gaps more than 10 yrs
