BITS Pilani Placement

BITS Pilani is giving quite strong competition to top IITs this year (24-25 data). It's placement percentage is 87.9% [99.5% including higher studies] with a median of 20 LPA overall including all three campuses and core branches while main campus should be 2-3 LPA higher [22-23 LPA].

On the other hand the placement percentage of IITB is 71% [100% including higher studies] with a median of 20 LPA. NIT Trichy has a placement percentage of 75% [91% including higher studies] with a median of 14 LPA.

I'm not trying to say that BITS Pilani is equal to IITB (IIT B,D,M>>BITS Pilani def), but my point is that it holds its ground against top 7 IITs and is comparable to them, and even BITS Goa and Hyderabad are a level beyond top NITs. In the end the judgement of institutes by companies is directly shown as a function of placement and median [Outliers do exist but institutes are judged on average].

Due to this at least I believe that the rankings in terms of CSE & Electronics [Factoring placements, brand value, alumni network, startups ignoring cost] is:
IITB>=IITD>=IITM>IITK>IITKGP>IIITH(CS)>=IITR≈BITS Pilani≈IITH≈IITG>IITBHU≈IITI≈BITS Goa≈BITS Hyderabad≈IIT GN≈IIITB>NITT>NITK>NITW

Please suggest edits, and I'll change it according to community recomendations.

Should I Signup For JAC?

Hi, I am OS and have 99.2%ile (12k rank). Through JAC I might get M&C in DTU in upgradation round due to which I was thinking of signing up, but is it worth doing since I have 27X in BITSAT so should probably get M&C in BITS Goa/Hyderabad if not CS? Also I might get bonus in IIITD since I was decent at chess (around 2200 chess.com) so should cross the 1200 FIDE rating barrier, so what is last date of application for bonus and can I get CSE or CS & Business in IIITD with 12k rank and 1-2 bonus points (I'd probably not meet deadline though)?

I'd really appreciate any advice

Does 92.4% in Class 12 boards Act As A Demerit When Applying For Abroad MS?

Hi, I will most likely be going to BITS CS (cleared Goa maybe Pilani in shift 2) this year, and would like to do MS abroad in the future (hoping for CMU, ETH, Etc), so I'd like to ask whether 92.4% in class 12 boards would be a detriment towards applications? According to the CGPA System

IK this is mostly useless, but if not I'd like to apply for re-correction of my physics at least since I got 88 (got 99.8x%ile in physics so it was unexpected) so I'd really appreciate any advice.

my_qualifications
Bitsat 27x, Mains 99.2x (Physics 99.8x), Class 10 (95%), Class 12 (92.4%)
