BITS Pilani Placement
BITS Pilani is giving quite strong competition to top IITs this year (24-25 data). It's placement percentage is 87.9% [99.5% including higher studies] with a median of 20 LPA overall including all three campuses and core branches while main campus should be 2-3 LPA higher [22-23 LPA].
On the other hand the placement percentage of IITB is 71% [100% including higher studies] with a median of 20 LPA. NIT Trichy has a placement percentage of 75% [91% including higher studies] with a median of 14 LPA.
I'm not trying to say that BITS Pilani is equal to IITB (IIT B,D,M>>BITS Pilani def), but my point is that it holds its ground against top 7 IITs and is comparable to them, and even BITS Goa and Hyderabad are a level beyond top NITs. In the end the judgement of institutes by companies is directly shown as a function of placement and median [Outliers do exist but institutes are judged on average].
Due to this at least I believe that the rankings in terms of CSE & Electronics [Factoring placements, brand value, alumni network, startups ignoring cost] is:
IITB>=IITD>=IITM>IITK>IITKGP>IIITH(CS)>=IITR≈BITS Pilani≈IITH≈IITG>IITBHU≈IITI≈BITS Goa≈BITS Hyderabad≈IIT GN≈IIITB>NITT>NITK>NITW
