powdered dye mixed with soda ash shelf life

I've been experimenting with mixing my powdered dye with soda ash, typically around 1 teaspoon of soda ash to a quarter teaspoon of dye. Putting it in a

small container Leica prescription pill bottle, and shake it up. That makes it way easier to spread for ice dyes. I find some of my Dharma dyes spread beautifully and others are clumpy.

I remember reading that when making liquid dye if you include soda ash it will expire very quickly. Do you think the same thing would be true in my situation? Could I mix up a larger amount of powder dye with soda ash and use it over the course of a month, or Will it be useless in a day?
