I’m finishing up my first year will most likely end with a 2.9 gpa (2.3 first semester, 3.5 second semester). I know I have a low gpa, should I still go for the mechanical engineering route or do Civil instead. Also, im in Canada where the MechE market is worse than the states.

I’m greatly passionate for both majors, but if I had to choose solely based off passion I’d do Mech. It’s just that I’m not sure I’d be a competitive option for employers in an already competitive market.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
