My son turns 11 the beginning of June and a good few of his classmates and friends have phones already and he’s kind of hoping for one for his birthday which would be a HUGE step in maturity I think. He’s also an only child who’s pretty mature usually but prone to emotional outbursts (probably tween puberty) and I’m worried it’s too much too early. Idk I’m a millennial I got my first phone at 15 and I had to pay for it, but I know times are different.
Does anyone have any experience to offer in this department? I am leaning towards getting it because he is pretty mature, knows internet safety, is careful with his iPad and our gaming stuff.. Idk I just don’t know if it’s too early I mean he’ll have one the rest of his life right why start now? Any insight would be appreciated
I read today that amid all the -things- going on that most airlines are consolidating and moving people to less full flights some with no other option but with layovers, and to be prepared for some of the longest TSA lines in the 25 year history of DHS for flights that aren’t cancelled outright 😬 We’re coming from the west coast so hopefully it’s a busy enough route we don’t get cancelled this may.
I’m just so worried, this is our dream trip and I’ve already sunk several thousands in it I’m going to be heartbroken if something happens 😭😩 Someone give me a temp reading on the likelihood of these things happening please ease my mind!
Edit: I might be overthinking it, just panicking is all. I’ve only flown twice before this and never ran into these concerns
