I recently had Apple do a batter service and replace my battery.

The results are astonishing and just shows once you get close to the 80-85% mark you do really see a difference. I thought ones shut being paranoid but once I got it done I can really see the difference.

Here’s my before and after battery stats SOT

I’ve had my phone for over 2.5 years now - and often think to myself “is this too big - would I be better off with a pro next time “

With phones getting bigger and bigger - the one handed usage is certainly a thing of the past in most scenarios.

I have large rugby player hands, and still cannot reach my thumb from one side to the other of the screen (horizontally), and certainly not diagonally left - without a careful hand gymnastics routine.

I resorted to buying a pop socket to help with one handed usage , but then it feels clunky.

If I went to a pro tho I do think I’d miss the real estate when browsing , and having the other keyboard space.

Anyone else go from a max to a pro what were your thoughts?

Trying to decide if to :

- do a battery replacement now on iPhone 15 Pro Max, and just keep that for another year or 2

- upgrade and buy the 17 Pro

- battery replacement on the 15 and then buy the 18 in September.

Deciding factors :

- on average I get like 6-6.5hrs SoT on full charge.

- Battery health currently at 83% 690 cycles

- summer holiday in May

- Disneyland Paris in Mid October for 🎃,

- 18 upgrade likely won’t be with me by then as when bought 15 had to wait nearly 3-4 weeks from ordering.
