Anyone have experience with the 40v hedge trimmer?
Mainly a milwaukee guy, but run some ryobi stuff and have always been happy with it.
Need a new hedger, and saw the Ryobi 40v one at a really nice price, with a battery.
I'm not exactly keen to introduce yet another battery platform into my ecosystem, but the price on it is a bit hard to ignore.
The battery it comes with is only a 2ah. Can't find any kind of run time on it. I need to do about 100 feet of hedges with it. Can i realistically do that on 2ah? It claims 45 minutes on that battery but i find that VERY hard to believe if you are actually cutting stuff.
Beyond that, is it a halfway decent hedger?
Any first hand experience with the 24 or 30" M18 Hedger?
Currently have the hedge attachment for the Quicklock and love it, but its overkill for half my yard, and i'd like to replace my crappy B&D handheld one with something better.
Haven't seen a good deal come through on the Milwaukee ones, and am looking at 250+ tool only.
Ryobi has one for 170, and i'm generally happy with the Ryobi stuff i have mixed in, but their hedger is on their 40v system (comes with a battery), and i'm not exactly keen on introducing yet another battery system that would likely be a one trick pony.
Is the Milwaukee one really worth the price, or can anyone compare it to the Ryobi one?
Homeowner use, but i have a lot of big ass hedges.
Alternatively i can get the mower, which i have been eying up, with 4 12ah Forges and a 6 bay charger, plus the hedger, for 1600 bucks. What could i realistically and easily get for 2 of those batteries and the 6 bay for on a quick flip?
