Why I think that Dazai is immortal
In the anime adaptation of BSD, Mori convinces Dazai to investigate the arahabaki case by offering a lethal injection.
As for why, if mortality is a gifted ability, then Dazai wouldn't be affected, also explaining why he wants to die. He lived for so long.
