Brainstorming for new job opportunities in NYC - complete career switch

I am F28 and about to move to NYC from Europe with my partner who just got an offer from NYC and now I also need to get a job there. I have a Master’s degree in business and I am currently working in consulting and have prior experience in insurance companies. Consulting is earning relatively well in my home country standards, but I don’t think I could (or want to) handle the longer hours and higher demands of US office culture and therefore am looking for something totally different and accepting lower pay.

My question is what sort of jobs would you recommend for me in my situation? ALMOST ANYTHING! I would not ideally look for a new office job, but would like the work to be social so I get to practice English in everyday conversations. I am into fitness, health, anything food and restaurants related, outdoors…and many other things.

Could i get a job at a florist shop? How about a kitchen at a restaurant, even if I don’t have any education? As said, I am open to many things and primarily want to do something I could enjoy. Temporary work is also fine as I am still thinking what to do with my career in the long term…

Thank you for anyone helping me out!

ACN to sponsor a transfer to US (NYC) for personal reasons, any tips or experience?

My partner (unmarried) is in the process of getting an offer from NYC and we are planning to move to NYC together. I’m currently working at one of ACN Nordic country offices, in strategy & consulting for financial services, L9.

Now I need to either get an office transfer in ACN or apply for B2-visa. We are not planning on getting married but that’s still an option to get a working visa for me as well - as I am unsure about the ACN transfer.

Any advice in this situation? How easy is it to get ACN to sponsor a tranfer for this level?

And primarily I would appreciate hearing anything about what it is like working at the NYC office and how easy would it be to integrate there as a non-local. Also how is the WLB? I am still learning English (pretty good at it compared to my peers at my current office but still learning to use it in business context), so it is a slight worry for me as well that I would have performance issues simply because I do not have as good oral/written skills as a native english speaker would.
