The results of my roughly ten-year Harlan Ellison phase.
I had to reshelve some books, and thought it was a good time to show off what I picked up during my HE scrounging, c. 1995 - 2010. There are some books and other media not in the picture because I keep them somewhere else and couldn't be bothered to get them, but this is most of it.
Is this me bragging? Well, yeah, of course, that's some of it. But also:
* Most of my bookshelves look like this, totally mismatched texts that are half battered to shit, and it always kind of cracks me up when I see other people's shelves with the perfectly arranged and unscathed matching editions. (To be fair, that's what the White Wolf editions were supposed to be for HE, but they only made it four books in.)
* It's been both confusing and cool to see a sudden resurgence of interest in HE that's largely coming out of the Amazing Digital Circus crowd. I really would encourage everyone who's running into HE's work just now to realize there's a lot of it, and to check your local libraries and used bookstores to see if there's other stuff by him you like as much as the story that first got your attention.
