Playing time rules in senior league

1st off thanks everyone for the info on my previous questions. My son will be in senior league next year in my area. So far we have only had experience with minors a ball, where everyone hits even if they don't play in the field at the start of the game. Are the rules similar in senior league, or is it more like regular baseball, and you don't play until you sub in for someone? I've tried looking it up, but sometimes Google gives you too much, and it's hard to find something clear. Plus people here have been mostly really helpful, and I like that.

Update to my 12 year pitching in minors A.

I wanted to put an update out to my question yesterday. This is my kids 2nd season and the year before sign ups didn't end until early March. This year they ended and had the assessments before valentines day. So they said they placed him in minors A because to play in majors you have to have attended the assessments to be drafted. That didn't sit well with me. What happens if a kid is sick and misses? I really appreciate they did us a favor to get him in, but I was already a bit mad he didn't play in majors the year before when he was 11. My question now is it normal to do a draft for majors? My kid is a good ball player, but he's kind of a repetition type player. 10 swings then moving on to the next station doesn't give a coach much of an idea because he'd be just barely warming up. So next year he will be senior league which is 13 to 16. Do the 13 year old players play against 16 year old? We are new to this an still feeling it out, and we are upset to they won't just slap him on a majors team for the last 4 or 5 games of the year so he can get some experience against age appropriate competition

12 year old pitching in minors a.

Location is northern california. This is my sons 2nd season. Last year he was in minors a. This year we didn't receive email about sign ups, which were way earlier than the year before. Luckily the league let him play, but instead of putting him in majors they put him in minors a again. He's by far talented enough to play is majors, but anyway he's been pitching all season this year. Then last night the other team learned he was 12 and make a stink about him pitching. Funny thing is he has great control, only 4 walks in 14 innings, no hit batsman. He had to be pulled after 2 innings. Is this really a rule? When we signed him up we made them aware he pitches when asked what positions he had experience with. If he can't pitch in minors a, is it possible the league move him up to majors for rest of the season? He's frustrated and so am i. Poor kid was so upset because he felt like the league commissioner was telling him hes dangerous when I've seen younger kids that throw harder than him with less control.

Over the last 7 or 8 years I've really gotten into video games (I'm currently almost 50), mostly the fantasy open world kind. Think skyrim, witcher 3 and ect. I've been reading through the dark tower series again off and on lately, and I'm finding I'd love it, if someone could pick it up and turn it into a game! I'd love to run around Rolands world exploring around. It would have to include Oy as a companion along with Jake too. Maybe we meet the others as the game goes on. I just really enjoyed that world so much I'd love to interact with it more

I probably have watched this 3 or 4 times since I first watched the mini series so many years ago. Andre Linoge is one of my all time favorite characters, villain or protagonist. But really, the way I see it, he's not so much a villain, he just, is. I don't believe he's a demon, at the town hall he says he's not a god or an immortal. Which I always thought demons and angels were immortal in a sense. I see him as more of a punisher so to speak. He's does what he does to little tall to gain their attention because they are a small town full of morally corrupt people. I've found myself curious of how long he's really been around. He states thousands of years, maybe he was an entity born as the human race evolved into larger civilizations. I just never seen him as purely evil, or good. He just is.

I know my kid has put in a ton of work this year, and I think a big part of it is his 6th grade teachers (6th grade is 1st year of middle school where we live in California). Covid was rough on him, as he had a really hard time with learning at home. Math and English he got really behind in, and while me and my wife worked with him as much as we could, he still struggled some. Math was the worst, going into this year he couldn't tell you what 5×5 was off the top of his head, and by Xmas break was failing Math, although he didn't have any missed assignments, it was mostly just accuracy mistakes.

Maybe it just took time for the light to switch, but his Math, English and science teachers really worked with us, gave him some extra guidance in class, and provided us with some tools to help him. Fast forward to now, and the kid has B in Math, which is lowest grade. It was like a light just switched on finally. He went from having to finish classwork at home, to no homework at all. At his school homework isn't really assigned, it just stuff from class that didn't get finished for whatever reason.

Just thought I'd say thanks to all teachers who see a good kid, pays attention in class, and tries their hardest, but still struggles, for helping them that little bit extra. For him it was never as much lack of effort, as more of lack of accuracy and understanding the material.
