Looking for 1 Bed / 1 Bath Apartments in Carrboro

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a 1 bed / 1 bath apartment in Carrboro, ideally somewhere close to UNC and convenient to bus lines.

My budget is around $1200 to $1300 per month total, including rent, utilities and other costs. So far, I’ve mainly been looking at Ridgewood, Royal Park, and University Lake (all have $1000-ish base rent with the student discount), since their lower base rents seem like they could help me stay within budget.

I took the virtual tour for University Lake and thought it looked pretty decent, but I haven’t really heard enough yet from people who’ve actually lived there. I’d love to know what current or former tenants think, whether they’d recommend it, and what the main pros and cons are. I’m also open to other suggestions in or around Carrboro!

I also care about things like noise and how well the apartments handle heat/cold, so if anyone has thoughts on quieter buildings, whether certain units get too hot or too cold, and whether top floor vs. bottom floor makes a difference, I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance. Would love to hear any recommendations or experiences people have had, and I’m really excited for my move to NC!
