Before conquest
https://www.reddit.com/r/AsoiafFanfiction/s/Lz4kOosDdd ok I know I said I would only post this AU idea if the original post got 30 up votes but if I'm being honest I didn't think it wouldnt even get 5 so since it got more than I thought I decided to post more details of the AU and lore.
So like the original post stated its a cross over AU with monster hunter stories and that it would contain events from the Ageon's conquest to the dance of the dragons and maybe after.
Lore wise sometime between the doom of valeria and Ageon's conquest a strange sellsword company showed up around Essos, they were only 1000 men strong but each of them had at least one mighty beast as their mount, these monsties they called them were fierce and they came in all sames and sizes. This sellsword company called themselves the children of Redan, they kept many secrets about themselves, their beasts and where they came from private. These riders had a policy to price their work based off how well they performed the jobs and whoever does not pay their price is blacklisted until they pay their debts. The company has five branches with the head branch being the Razewing branch its sigil being based of a monster known as rathaloss the king of the skies.
The children of Redan develop a reputation of a perfect success rate, they aren't limited to who they work with besides from the likes of Slave owners and don't limited themselves to what jobs they'll take as long as no innocents are harmed, and they don't limited the jobs to combat based one's they often have their monstie aid in transportation and physical labour.
Before Ageon set land on the area that would come to be known as Kingslanding, when he was still planning his conquest he had a small worry about the possibility of the children of Redan being hired by one of the seven kingdoms, if they were just another sellsword company he wouldn't consider the possibility of that happening a problem but since they had their monsters he didn't want to take the risk of them being a threat, he may have had three large dragons, but more than 200 hundred of their monsters were said to be various aerial beasts of fire, lightning, ice and venom.
So he made a contract with them and hired them to aid in his conquest and the price they asked for.....
Well if this post or the others gets enough upvotes then I'll make a post on the conquest.
