Poco X8 Pro or X8 Pro Max for long-term use (4 years)
I’m trying to choose between the Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max — 17,000 UAH vs 23,000 UAH (€337 vs €456) for the base 256GB versions.
My main concern is the 8GB RAM on the X8 Pro. My current Poco F3 also has 8GB and I’ve never really needed more, but it’s stuck on Android 13 / HyperOS 1. The X8 Pro comes with Android 16 and should get updates up to at least Android 19. Could 8GB become an issue in the future?
I’m planning to keep the phone for around 4 years. Is it worth paying extra for the X8 Pro Max (better chip, bigger battery, 12GB RAM), or is the regular X8 Pro already future-proof enough?
I’m a PC gamer, but I might occasionally play something like Genshin Impact before bed.
Also, if anyone has the X8 Pro in green or the X8 Pro Max in blue, I’d love to see some photos.
