So, beside I need bit of familiarity with KDE ~ Few things: Dolphin compare to Thunar - so FAST. I still bit annoyed i need to press shift to open new window, but speed and f4 for terminal so lovely.
DNF oh my clean, fast. colorful

i had 0 issue installing drivers and bit uneasy that sleep actually works but for few hours of usage - good job fedora.

I am doing mint 21.3 for 2 years now. With xfce.

I always wanted to try debian because i already familiar with apt. But for dinner reasons i want fedora with KDE

In 2y i found one package that act werid because of old version that is stuck in mint

So

Beside kde looks modern compare to xfce,

What should i expect

Oh and to add something

I have tried live usb version i noticed dolphin works much faster than thunar

And I noticed i could not set up 100 Hz on my monitor (maybe duo not installed Nvidia drivers?) max was 72.93 Hz

So can you give me some reason why fedora or why mint

Hello, i tested love usb version of fedora KDE and compare to my mint xfce, i have noticed some things

For start dolphin opens faster folders with a lot of pictures inside. I was amazed how quick is compare to thunar, and can't imagine how fast would be with install on ssd

But i have noticed that refresh ratio of monitor is stuck at 73.92 Hz or something like that and there wasn't 100 Hz that my monitor support.

Is this because i did not install nvidia drivers? It should work its displayport connected and works on xfce.

And lastly: my ssd of 256 gb and 1tb hhd are both ext4. I must say i like ext4 so much. Compare to NTFS my hdd actually survived with 0 bad sectors year 2 (actually even longer it was NTFS while i was on windows and bit on Ubuntu). Now I am not tech guy or something, i do and know basics but I noticed Fedora has Btrfs as default. Hear me out, for 2 years i had 0 backups for Mint. But because of nature of Fedora and frequent updates I believe i should start use timeshif or snapper. I have non knowledge about them, but reading on net more people suggest snapper. Do you think that is good way to go?

Anyway last question: would be okay to put ssd with linux as btrfs and keep hhd as ext4 - i am not sure should i even formate hhd, in my experience swaping from linux to Linux always worked. I just want to have benefits of btrfs system wise and stability and longevity of ext4 for hhd.

Anyway thank you for reading!
