Our salesman sold something absolutely ridiculous. I have to make a series of radius handrails with elevation changes on a CNC router and I'm not sure how to model this.
I laser templated the path, so it's a rough looking combination of lines and 3d splines. Not exactly tangent and I don't know how to manipulate the spline without making everything worse.
Is this something the should be done with a sweep vs loft?
How do I control the roll of the profile as it travels up and around the curve? I tried constraining the rail to the Z axis, but that doesn't seem to be the way to go.
As far as guide rails, I plan to use the inside of the profile and rectangle my way up 20 workplanes and spline/line the corners together to get an offset path. Is there a more efficient way to get the path?
