Dating an artist help
Hi everyone,
I (M19) have recently started quite seriously dating my partner, she is an art student, I'm a math student.
I think myself a quite well rounded person, or at least I hope I am, but visual art is one of the topics I'm least educated in, and while introductory art history is quite easy to learn from books I wanted to ask help with smt slightly different.
I am aware that her ideal relationship dynamic would be dating another visual art student because there would be a level of understanding of each other's work that is appealing to her, both in advice giving way and in a way of for example artistic cohabitation.
I know without being an art student myself I won't be able to get on that level and I'm not aiming to, quite comfortable with math haha, but I still want to be closer to her field because of both natural curiousity and to see how it can change my worldview but also in a way that would help her feel more understood in the ways that I've described.
I hope it makes sense and any help would be appreciated and deeply valued.
