Disappointed in Hevy's photo quality drop for Samsung Users

I love the Hevy app, have been a Premium user since December. But it's been really bothering me that my photos *always* decrease significantly in quality when I upload them to Hevy. Both in terms of the number of pixels and the color quality. When I reached out to support, they said that a drop in quality is expected because the photos are taken in HDR and made non-HDR after being uploaded. This is pretty frustrating because my phone does not allow me turn off HDR at all (Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra).

Does anyone have any workarounds? I don't see low quality photos from most other users, but I'm guessing they are probably iPhone users that don't have this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
