So who do you guys think dethrones Atticus Cogar? And where does he go afterwards?

Atticus is killing it imo. He can't be champion forever though. I've enjoyed his feuds and promos but feel like he doesn't have as many credible good guys to face as he should.

With Gage back does he inevitably take it from him? Will Manders get a run? Idk who else.

After defeat, does Atticus go to AEW or TNA or WWE? Hang around the indies? I feel like it is his time soon or he'll miss his window. I don't want that but not sure where he'd be best suited to forward his career. I can't see him staying in GCW only for the next 1-3 years as much as I selfishly would enjoy that.

Thoughts?

This post brought to you by a little bit of da siccness (I need Nyquil) or something.

My fellow gothic friend burned me an industrial CD in high school 2003 and it had SLUT by VAC on it along with a lot of other good songs I can't fully recall but led me to that genre, especially live which is super heavy and full of atmospheric energy like no other genre. Every couple years I go through massive indulgences of VAC music. Like bigtime sprees. The music is just insanely genuine such that I feel like it's the real deal of what he went through and uncompromising on subject matter or pure heart. Very authentically dark and scary sometimes cuz of where the lyrics go and how open I've read him be on some old blogs on his 90s style website (super dope). Like the music isn't just to sound dark or fit a painted face gimmick. Very afflicted artist.

I hear some of the music and I'm like this was the early 90s?! How?!?!?!?!! So far ahead of his time. And LOTS of drugs. I got to see him live 2-3 times and while it wasn't great performances it like somehow doesn't matter it was just really cool and oddly charming cuz of the imperfections and how much heart went into it. Dude connects effortlessly but somehow seems obscure and not great with people. Like a real life example of a tortured soul. A lot of self-depracating comments to the crowd at the shows (plural) I've been to.

Every so often I catch up on social media and see very few posts. A lot of selling gear and his ps5 etc on ebay. Actively streams fps games on YouTube like all the time but no views. Is this guy in his own little world?

Website not much updates. I see he resigned with Metropolis but last official release if I understand is 2019. Newer music isn't too far off from older stuff despite hoped sobriety or just humans aging and not being as wild. He's gotta be getting older. I am too. But I find his newer stuff still pretty good.

I don't ever see interviews or podcasts or anything with him and find it bizarre. What like 30 years in the game and despite a lot of engagement at times with fans online there's still a lot of mystery to me about him or his music itself. Is there a documentary? Any good in depth videos or interviews I'm missing? It's kind of fun about the obscurity but as a fan so long it is equally frustrating at times.

Then I search online and see that there were a ton of people coming and going into Velvet Acid Christ and the whole 'band' history confuses the hell out of me. How much of it is Bryan overall? Seems like it's his baby at least. But in industrial music that's weird cuz it's not like metal bands or distinct members that when they leave the entire sound shifts. I get thst diehards can probably hear things and know what members did what, but in fairness I couldn't begin to tell you outside of his obscure guest goth girl music tropes which I love (Barbed Wire Garden, Romero, Dilaudid, Slut obviously). People comment on posts the dude is a dick or jerk in real life. Does he just isolate at home? Gotta have a 9 to 5 or some kind of income. I want him to be living his best life but given the music fear his mental health might be major so hoping my GOAT has passive income. Seeing all the sold electronics though idk. I'd honestly just take a poster or signed merch or some shirts but there's rarely anything available.

Caustic Disco seems like a Marilyn Manson radio single and is the closest I feel like to a popular song for a wider audience. Otherwise, I read on Wikipedia about his history in Europe at one brief point gaining traction, otherwise it's like a really niche band to like that isn't gonna be a hit or sellout thank goodness.

So how is he viewed? Does Trent Reznor know about VAC? Did he impact the genre forever but just never that popular cuz of how dark he truly is? Seems like he is an OG at this shit but never went to the next level. Was it substance use or a bad attitude? I don't expect big things from an industrial artist but I really don't see how he fits into the bigger picture and honestly appreciate any discussion about it in all seriousness. Idk where else to ask. His fb fan group doesn't really post much either and it is public so idk if I wanna look dumb to IRL friends on fb vs looking dumb anonymously (ha!) on reddit. Whole situation is bizarre to me cuz other bands or genres do not [mal]function like this. It shapes me into three!

Thanks for reading my mess of thoughts and for any context you may have. I hope new music truly releases soon!
