Which of the base games out can literally stand on it's own?

No expansions. No KS exclusive stuff.

Been reading that UoA may be the hardest and kinda what appeals the most right now but the singular abom is discouraging. Read somewhere BP might lean in to melee-focus which is fine but I'm not sure it'd be a hit on the table. Moderncide has the most expansions and upgradeability available for us but don't have the extra $ right now.

Bonus: Which base game can be the winner if they only had ONE non-ks expansion/addition?

I see a lot of fanfare for BP but I don't see a lot for the other two. why is that?

Itching to get a copy of Zombicide and just waiting for our LGS to stock up some (if they ever) but do you guys have any alternatives that may scratch the same itch for the time being?
