Wanting to quit, but scared that it might be too hard

Hey there, Ive been a long time lurker on this sub and have taken recommendations on how to quit "properly". Ive been vaping for almost 9 years and finally decided to quit this year. My goal is to throw away my device on the 19th of this month. I want to make the quit as easy as possible. Has anyone tried NAC? I read in another post that someone used it, but I want to know if I should start taking it before or on the first day of quitting. Another question I have is if it is somewhat easier to quit when your younger (this is something that I was told by my substance abuse professor).

Im going to share some of my concerns, I'd appreciate if someone could shed light and possibly relieve me of the worries:

  1. Its too hard to quit
  2. I will be a terrible person to be around
  3. I wont be able to get any sleep

Thank you!
